CLIMATE CHANGE AND TOURISM

Hotels and other hospitality businesses play a crucial role in enabling local residents to fully benefit from tourism: they can provide fair employment opportunities to local residents, or they can only pay attention to purchasing local products and services (This also reduces the burden of air transport). Tourism enterprises should do their best to minimize the environmental impact of their activities and reduce their carbon emissions to the atmosphere. For this, we use Solar Energy in both our facilities, planting trees, have our chimneys cleaned and maintained and inspected, we have made emission measurements and obtained our environmental permit. We have the principle of working by taking the necessary precautions in order not to harm the environment.

– A solar energy system was installed in Ephesia Holiday Beach Club in recent years. In addition, 90% of the heat used for water heating in Ephesia Resort Hotel has been used from solar energy since 2003.

– We planted trees by working with Tema Foundation.

– We prepared Environmental Efficiency surveys and printed them on recycled paper. In these surveys, we created awareness among our guests both with our practices and our sensitivity to environmental protection. We created the opportunity to act together.

– Environmental Trainings were given to all our personnel in both our facilities.

– Chemical waste contaminated packages are given to licensed companies and disposed of.

– We have a blue flag on our beach. We have a Blue Flag Board and we make some information on this board.

OUR QUALITY POLICY

– We pay special attention to protect beneficial species (such as HONEY BEES) from being harmed during Environmental Spraying.

– Our land has been allocated to the volunteer group, who want to draw attention to the importance of water consumption, to set up tents and camp.

– Working in partnership with İŞKUR for employment, our facility has been turned into a training place and applied training has been given to those who are directed by İŞKUR to have a job in the tourism sector.

– Food scraps are sent to the dog house.

– Cityguide has been prepared to contribute to the promotion of Kuşadası.

– We organize festivals for the promotion of our region (such as CHERRY FESTIVAL-PEACH FESTIVAL-WATERMELON FESTIVAL-GRAPE FESTIVAL)

– Gala nights, local dishes, music shows and Turkish Nights are organized for the promotion of our region.
